Living Room and the Painted Trim

The painters have come and gone and I'm in love. In the front living room, we went for it and painted the trim. I'm very glad that we decided to paint all the trim because it really makes everything stand out, especially the column details that separate the entryway from the living room.

We also went with a color that wasn't on the walls here. I wanted a greenish grey that read more neutral and warm than the cold gray colors that I usually pick, so off to Home Depot I went for more samples. I brought home a few more samples and decided on this color.

I can tell you all day what paint colors to use in your home but when it comes to mine, I'm a crazy lady. I was so worried that this color was going to be way too dark for the room so while driving home from a work event on Friday, I kept telling myself to love it or else there was going to be one unhappy husband in the house. I knew that I'd have to wait a few weeks before breaking the news to him that I didn't like the color BUT luckily this wasn't an issue. At all.

In fact, it was the opposite. I love sitting in this room now.

The color changes throughout the day and this room gets plenty of sunshine so I'm glad that we went with a warm color. The room feels like a big hug.

The sofa also came in this weekend so this room is slowly but surely coming together.

And the pumpkins came out!!! Cue fall weather, chunky sweaters, white chicken chili, football, boots, and my favorite time of the year.
